Peter Gesner (‘e-Storiador’) keeps electronic files containing correspondence with people who have responded to this website and have provided details pertaining to their ancestor(s) and indicating they may be descended from the progenitor of one of the Family Histories /Trees featured in this website. Any information provided by a respondent will never be shared with or passed on to a third party unless permission has been received to do so. This applies especially to DNA data derived from a sample -e.g. a buccal swab- provided by a respondent. Nor will third parties be given a respondent’s contact details without respondent’s consent.
